An Inside Job

Alice Eichner is a native of Austin and has been in the design business for over 20 years. She is consistently reminded of the unique people and innate qualities Austin has to offer. Alice started her company, An Inside Job, 21 years ago and believes discovering her client's wants and needs is key to the success of her business. Alice often includes a "feel good" piece in her designs; something that her clients remark makes them smile every time they see it. She enjoys the creativity and variety of design and her dedication to the process helps form lasting relationships with her clients. She continues to inform herself through continuing education while staying current with styles and performances of the latest products. The design and remodel of a house or office can be a stressful process, but Alice works with other Austin artisans and contractors who share her attention to detail and professionalism to make the process an exciting and rewarding experience. Alice is dedicated to each client being completely satisfied and pleased with the results of their project.

Alice attended Baylor University for several years before transferring to the University of Texas at Austin where she earned her degree in Interior Design. She is licensed in the state of Texas. Alice has been featured in Symphony Designer show houses and in Austin Home Magazine. Her business is also featured on Houzz.com. Alice has expanded her business to Houston where she finds a healthy referral business. Design is not a job to Alice, it is an interesting and ever changing passion.

Our primary focus is on remodeling homes—from kitchens and bathrooms to entire home remodels. We specialize in the selection of colors and products along with creative accessories on the market. We manage the entire process and bring together the different sub contractors to complete a project successfully.

Q.Traditional or Contemporary?
A. Love to design for either, but personal style probably leans contemporary because of the clean lines and simplicity, although I like "things" so I have a hard time with the minimalist part.

A. Moving furniture around in our house as a child because I was curious what it would look like rearranged.
